2. Principle: this website works without cookies

We have deliberately designed this website so that no consent banner is required. In detail:

  • no cookies and no browser storage (localStorage or sessionStorage),
  • no analytics, tracking or marketing tools,
  • no externally loaded resources – fonts, graphics and scripts are served exclusively by this website itself,
  • no embedded third-party services (no maps, videos, social media plugins, captchas or chat widgets),
  • no contact form, no newsletter, no registration and no user accounts,
  • no automated decision-making and no profiling.

What remains technically unavoidable is the processing of connection data by our hosting provider (section 3). To that extent, carefully selected service providers are involved in the processing.

3. Hosting and server log data

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. The hosting provider processes personal data on our behalf as a processor under a contract pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

When this website is accessed, the hosting provider processes technically necessary connection data: the IP address of the requesting device, the date and time of the request, the requested resource, the volume of data transferred, the HTTP status code and the identifier transmitted by the browser. This processing is necessary to deliver the pages and to operate the website securely and reliably, and is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a functional website protected against misuse).

Server log data are deleted as soon as they are no longer required for operation, security and the detection of misuse. Where a specific security incident occurs, the data needed for that purpose may be retained until the incident has been finally resolved. These data are not combined with other data sources and are not evaluated for advertising purposes.

4. Contacting us by email or telephone

If you contact us by email or telephone, we process the data you provide (for example your name, contact details and the content of your enquiry) in order to deal with your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to the initiation or performance of an engagement, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).

For our email communication we use Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited) as a technical service provider, on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Unencrypted emails can be read by third parties in transit.

We delete the data as soon as they are no longer required for processing your request and no statutory or professional retention obligations apply.

5. Your rights

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and the right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). Please use the contact details in section 1.

6. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is:

Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA)
Promenade 18
91522 Ansbach, Germany

7. Changes to this policy

We will update this privacy policy whenever the technical implementation of the website or the legal framework changes.
