Helge Gleiss
Patent Attorney · German and European Patent Attorney
Authorised Representative before the Unified Patent Court (UPC) · European Patent Litigator
Managing Director
I studied neurobiology at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, gaining scientific and practical experience in neurobiology, surgical techniques and medical engineering. My technical understanding also covers mechanical engineering, plastics and production technology, electrical engineering, signal generation and processing, control engineering, and software and artificial intelligence.
I have worked in intellectual property protection since 2017. I completed my training as a German patent attorney in Stuttgart and gained international experience as a summer associate at a leading patent law firm in New York. Today I support companies from the first invention through examination and opposition proceedings to litigation, and represent them before the Unified Patent Court.
My technical focus areas include defence technology, weapon systems and other security-relevant technologies. For particularly confidential developments, I take into account the specific legal and organisational confidentiality and secrecy requirements.
I familiarise myself quickly with new subject matter and aim to understand an invention thoroughly enough to discuss it with the inventors immediately and on the same technical level. Only on this basis do I draft claims and applications that capture the technical core and hold up in later proceedings.
